The night time was always her favorite time. Mainly, because it could provide so many tacticle advantages. And when one wanted to sneak off campus for reasons that most likely would not go over too well with the folks in charge, well it just made sense to Cass for such transactions to occur while there was the least possible chance to meet with those people she wished to avoid ( ... )

Somehow Seven managed to fight her way back to her hands and knees. The girl could not afford to tarry any longer. She must push onward. But her body refused to listen; pain coursed through every cell of her being, paralyzing her ( ... )

"No...no, nurses....can't let them know, can't let them find out...."

This was something that Cass could wrap her head around. Maybe not the reasons behind it all, but certainly the desire for discretion. She put an arm around Seven and hauled the girl up to her feet.

"OK, I gotcha..." she said, "So, where do ya need to go? I'll get ya in an' out, no questions asked."

While Seven was experiencing hopelessness, Cass' words carried a cheerful optimism. A bit odd given the stark contrast that she was currently supporting. But, now Cassarah truely wanted to help the mage. All the attention that been placed on her meeting had now been diverted to the situation at hand. By contrast, it appeared to be much more important.

Some unknown benefactor put their arm around her shoulder. Someone else was here, helping her up. Her own arms wrapped tightly around her own chest, crossing over one another as if trying to clucth something close to her. Despite Cass and her best efforts, the Mage could not fully stand upright against the body's natural tendencies to curl into a ball with in such agony.

Her eyes still clenched shut, she looked away nevertheless. She wanted no one to find out about her...condition...but if anyone was to do so a complete stranger would have been her preference. Only her desperation kept her from questioning what a stranger was doing here, why anyone other than her would be out so late or why anyone would be willing to aid her in her time of need.

"Po, potions lab," said the trembling girl, though she doubted she could do much more than just shuffle along. She gritted her teeth, trying to keep herself from screaming. "Need to break in. Need, need to make....need...."

Back in the dorms, most people were asleep, unlike the two stalking outside. Liz was one of the people who was fast asleep, enjoying pleasant, sweet dreams as she was safe in Kate's presence.

But then suddenly something cut straight through her pleasant dreams. A sudden pain, a sudden fear. Liz bolted up in her bed with a scream, and sat there for a minute, feeling completely confused and disorientated.

Katelyn, too, was fast asleep. A sudden scream changed that, but unlike her partner and roommate, she wasn't jarred awake quite so suddenly.

The wild girl immediately kicked out, flailing her arms and legs to escape the entangling snare of the covers she had pulled around her body. Though normally quite nimble in her haste she clumsily went over the edge of her bunk bed and fell to the floor.

"Liz!" The voice came from a Katelyn-shaped lump beneath a white sheet. She pulled that cover from over her head to reveal a worried, concerned look. "Are you, okay? What's wrong?"

Liz couldn't answer immediately to Kate's concerned calls and questions. She was still trying to gather her own senses and understand what she had just experienced.

"I'm... I'm fine..." the Seer finally said, though still a bit disorientated and not fully aware of what she said. "There's... I felt pain. And fear." Brown eyes found Katelyn and Liz looked at her with a worried expression. "Katelyn... I think someone is in a lot of trouble."

Now freed from her linen bonds, the Slayer immediately crawled up into Liz's bed and wrapped her arms around her. She might not be in as much trouble as whatever it was she sensed but she was Kate's first responsibility, and after she took care of her Liz Kate would do what she could to take care of the rest as well.

"It'll be, okay," the stronger girl said reassuringly. She sat there for a moment, just holding her, silently letting her know that she would always be there for her. "Do you, See anything else?" Her voice was calm but concerned. "Can you tell what's going on?"

(OOC: Another new thread, so's Kate and Liz can join in...along with any other passers by. I'm sure a wide open door with rocks thrown in could draw a bit of attention XP)

Cass' eyes shot open and both eyebrow's made a wide arch up her forehead. That was certainly an unorthodox method of delivering the.....well, she could only assume that it was some form of medicine.

"Ow..." she remarked, "Uh...that allright? It doesn't look...pleasant."

That was perhaps an understatement. She dropped to a crouch and started to gather everything that Seven had dropped. It was a curious collection of equipment that she returned to the black case. It was also something to keep her busy as she awaited a responce.

The Mage's eyes rolled back in her head somewhat as she coughed a sickening, sputtering cough. Her mouth moved as if trying to say something, but no words would come out...only more gagging sounds. Her trembling hands finally began pulling out that long and now bloody needle inch by painful inch. Her arm fell limply to her side. The needle, now emptied, fell to the floor ( ... )

"Secret eh...." Cass' eyes narrowed as she started to think. After retrieving the used syringe, a finger tapped her chin and she began to pace around the now unconsious mage. This was a tricky predicament to be in. It was late at night, but all of those cries had to have drawn someone's attention. Although, so far, no one else had made their presesnce known ( ... )

That long, dark-colored hair flowed behind them both as Cass hopped over the would-be trap and escaped out into the night. Seven still felt remarkably light, but even as she held her Cassarah would quickly notice that she grew noticeably heavier with the passing of time. It was almost as if her body was somehow solidifying. Nothing else seemed to be the matter, and while pain was still apparent on the passed out girl's face it was also apparent that for now the worst had passed.
