Buffy being dismissive of Willow and Xander's wallowing was stellar. They really do deserve the glares and puppy dog eyes. They cheated on their partners. There's little sympathy to be spared. Buffy having a contingency plan for any slut that would dare mack on Spike is hysterical. She really is a violent little thing, isn't she?

I read this: ...like a marriage only better because of the amazing sex and all and burst out laughing.

Buffy finally getting on the spell train because of her overuse of the word loins was brilliant, and being a closet romance reader explains everything. This made me laugh: ...only reading the parts without dialog because, well, that’s where the good stuff is. There's not much use of the word loins or orbs in dialogue outside this story

I remember stealing romance novels from my grandmother (don't ask) and skipping to the pages with long, long paragraphs, knowing that's where the dirty was. And things like "His iron rod of manhood" and "her loins quivered with passion" will still make me giggle.

We'll get one more chapter of the angsty/emotional sides and consequences of magic but then we'll be back to the hilarity. It'll be a springing leap, I'm afraid, after the heaviness of this one. I hope I don't teeter!!

WOW, I never thought she would be the one to come up with this. But I am at least glad that Giles didn't jump for joy. I think he really saw how she was feeling and knowing that all of her feelings couldn't be magical was part of it. And to have Spike think he found a way around things also only to have them dashed. Awesome chapter and I really do hope they both are right.

Love this 'take control' Buffy. She decides about the spell in order to show everyone her love is real. Then Spike offers the claim [sweet and tender, btw.]

:D She LOVES him! And I'm glad you liked the claim scene. It was kinda heavy for this story, but I also kinda LIKE that, so...what can I do?
