...Angel totally could have gone down on her without losing his soul! <-- I really find it such a shame that they couldn't touch upon this on a primetime television show. Think of all the useless Angel-angst we could've gone without!

Knew him better than she would have liked and it pained her to see him so heartbroken. <-- To really know Spike is to love him, is what I say, therefore simple math decries it inevitable that she will love him again.

And I really enjoyed Giles and Angel's "destiny" discussion. Your Giles is very close to the ideal Watcher, in my opinion.

Buffy's a compassionate person and after seeing directly into him, I can't imagine her to be cruel at this point. She's just very confused with her own personal issues that it'll take a bit for her to chew on it and figure it out.

The Giles/Angel was a personal challenge I gave myself with this prompt. I wanted them to be the good guys and it's hard as hell for me to convey it that way, but I hope I succeeded.

First I wanted to say Giles was right to blame Angel to be more obsessed with following Buffy than to read the spell. But know I think he was lying, he knew very well what the spell would have caused.
Clever, I never would have guessed that the book came from Angel through Giles to Spike. :D
Nor that Giles was the one helping.

And Buffy seems to come around, good for both of them (B+S).

Now I'm looking forward to what she'll ask Angel. I have the feeling that Angel won't like the questions.

Buffy still has a long while before she'll be "in love" with Spike. Right now she's just sympathizing with his pain, knowing what she knows about him.

And the Angel/Buffy conversation is already fun to write so I hope everyone enjoys it! Thanks for reading.

And, I'm glad you like this Angel. I never hated the guy and while he might not love Buffy the way Spike eventually did, his actions came from a good place. And...he's got that smile thing that makes me say, "Awww, puppy." Hahah! Thanks for reading!
