I like the flow you've established here. Your pacing is good, you're establishing Buffy's evolution without taking too much time getting to the good Spuffy parts. And Spike is already acting more Spike-like already!

Well, a bit of blood, a slayer being genuinely pleasant and having the decency to blush in front of you . . . all very good reasons for Spike to start feeling a little more like his usual self!

I knew that "Intervention" was this huge turning point for the two of them, and the rest of their interactions in s5 followed accordingly. She knew and accepted the fact that he loved her.

I like how you make your points within the story and the logic behind it all--it's like an essay that's not, which makes it made of win :D

Made of win . . . I think I like that :D. I'm a big fan of backing up a character's actions with logical thought . . . it's all well and good for Buffy to change her opinions about Spike and whatnot, but without the thought process and the rationale, the change is empty and all we have is Buffy suddenly changing her mind seemingly on a whim and they never get to the emotional connection.

Thanks for the links to the other chapters - a need feature not to miss a chapter.

Good that Buffy got some blood for Spike (can't remember that it was mentioned in the series). And it seems Buffy had even a good timing - Spike is more worse than he himself believed or he wouldn't have tried to down.
Besides the blood or no, saying that was the best gift Buffy could me Spike. Well only saying that she loves him too would be better :)

Links = goodness. Yes :)

No, nothing was ever said about Spike after Buffy left his crypt. I'd like to think that Buffy would have done this for him - after all, he did what he did for her, right? What's a little pig-in-a-bag after all that? And yes, Spike's worse off than he thought, once the swelling all set in and the rush of the fight/escape ended. That, and he doesn't like being weak, so he would have tried to do it himself no matter what.

How much better would things have been if Buffy had only been able to admit to herself, and to Spike, that his feelings were real??

Thank you for your reply!
