I'm happy that Buffy came to the "blood" conclusion on her own. It is indeed a good thing for her to do, for him - makes the whole Glory!torture episode come full circle. On to part B...

To me, it just made sense that Buffy would make this offer. I went into the story thinking it would be just about helping him heal, but the main reason for it - the doing for him as he had for her, the connecting, etc - refused to be ignored.

And yep, Canadian. British Columbian to be specific, Vancouver Islander to be even more so. Hello right back atcha!

Another part of Buffy's changing views about him . . . she realized that "tossed into the shadows" was exactly how she'd always treated Spike and she's terrified that she's going to turn her back on everything and do it over again.

At last Buffy will try not to let the closeness they had in this night end.
Buffy promised to try - that's a first step. The second one that she thought of giving him her blood. Big sign of trust too.

Yep, she's giving him as much as she can, knowing that it's not going to be easy. That was exactly the point of the blood . . . showing that she trusts him and is willing to give to him something of the value he gave to her in protecting Dawn.
