i would be applying for a program in a different region than you (new orleans), but mayhaps you could still give me some basic info b/c i want to have a job that combines artistic endeavors and helping people.

any tips you might have would be great.

well hello! sorry, don't come around here very often...
let's see, do you want to make art/work directly with people or are you more interested in the behind the scenes work? Amercorps has different sub-programs for each.

I'm going to stop myself before I write a lengthy comment and see if you would rather have me send you an e-mail? At this point I probably know too much about it all...

i really am not choosey at all since there are so few outlets that i know of that mix art and helping people and an actual job.

i'm mainly a photographer, mostly macro... but i paint, doodle, make collages, experiment, etc. i could work doing something myself or in a "spread the creativity" capacity like YAYA in nola... supervising young artist as they learn to express their creative sides.
