the nowhere man

Paul is a somewhat lazy man. He does the dishes and laundry as rarely as possible. He spends his time on the internet and watching TV. He was running from a past he'd rather forget but it caught up with him. Now he's staring out an attic window in a house he'd rather not be staying. In a town he despises, but something is keeping him here. ( Read more... )

I don't like the idea of "the one" or the other girl who comes after and reminds you of the great things that happened to you in one way or another.

None of that stuff ever happened to me or rather I'm displacing all that energy with my temporary amnesia. I'm only remembering the good times and focusing on what's important right now.

Relationships with girls - not that important.
Relationships with friends - not that important, but I'll invest more into this. Granted, I've given up on some people, but I always fall back on my word one day or another.

I really can't relate with Paul.

Wilco is great. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and Sky Blue Sky are my favorites of theirs. I can play a really good cover of Jesus etc. thanks to my old friend Patrick teaching it to me.

Paul may be crazy, but I am also crazy too.

man I try JEsus Etc i just can't nail the chorus.

my BEST cover i do actually is Via Chicago. Granted, the progression is rather simple, and my style is very different than Jeff Tweedy's. I never got into Sky Blue Sky, i haven't even heard it all, i keep putting it off. i hear mixed results. some say it's horrible, and then some say it's their best album yet. And both are from people who's opinions i trust. So, i'm leery.

Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is probably my favorite album but A Ghost Is Born is a very close second. I guess I just connect with that album alot more than yankee. But Jesus etc has the most beautiful violin i've heard in a song in a very long time, if ever. At least, for a song that's not a "violin song" or like an epic orchestral solo.
