is fat wool exactly what it sounds like? as in, a hat with a really large gauge?

For the more technical knitter, such as yourself, it is super chunky weight. I started pretending I know more about knitting than I actually do, and modified a pattern to fit my lethal weapon size 13 needles. I'm not quite done, so we'll see how it goes. I cut the stitches down by half to fit the guage. So ya, can you recommend any free patterns? and what's new with you?
