The downtown people of Calgary lack facial expressions. On the train-- no excitement, no amusement, no pondering, no lust. Only blank stares. Even if you are daydreaming, don't you sometime crack a smile? And they walk so fast. I'm so going to get plowed over by a women in a power suit towing a rolly suitcase. When are you home for Christmas? Tamara is going to be in Calgary over the holidays, so I think I'm going on a road trip maybe starting Boxing Day to go see her. My new fantastic friend Anika wants to go to Alberta too, so we might go together and hit up Calgary and Edmonton for a few days. Also, we're having a New Year's party at the Lyric to raise money for our drama group, if you're interested. The Vagina Warriors are ready to take on another play, it seems.

I should be home sometime this weekend, Saturday or Sunday, with White Cat. Who's Anika (I like her name) and why does she want to see Alberta? What play are the ladies going to do next?

I'll be home all weekend too, until probably boxing day.

Anika is a person who just moved back to Swift Current, after traveling the world for many years and most recently working with refugees and asylum seekers in Melbourne for over three years. I think you'll like her. She has friends in Edmonton and Calgary she wants to see, and so do I (well, mostly Calgary, because you're going to be home), and she didn't want to roadtrip by herself.
