[OOC] Drabble

Bass huffed sharply as he kicked a discarded can across the sidewalk, startling a small group of pigeons into the sky. He walked along at a sharp clip, his hands stuffed deep into his pockets as he glared ahead of him at nothing in particular.
You know the saying "Got up on the wrong side of the bed"? This was one of those days where no side of the bed was safe to rise on. Everything that could have gone wrong had, and it was barely past lunchtime. Bass glowered at someone who failed to get out of his way quick enough for his tastes, and they quickly skittered around him and ran off down the sidewalk. Sighing deeply he stopped and looked up, then made his way for the bus stop nearby.
He wouldn't make it, at least right away anyway. A voice cutting straight through the air drew his attention and he looked around, eventually spying the source across the street.
It was Megaman, and he was laughing. Laughing as he strolled down the sidewalk with his family, completely unaware that his greatest rival was two lanes away. He smiled as he looked up at the elderly Dr. Light, while his sister Roll beside him was still giggling at whatever Mega had been laughing over a moment ago.
Bass smirked to himself. This was his chance! It was the perfect opportunity to get out all his aggressions, and (hopefully) finally defeat Megaman! He watched the two siblings stop to admire something in a store window, chattering excitedly over whatever-it-was. Cracking his knuckles, he prepared to cross the street and challenge his rival.
But... he couldn't do it. As Bass watched the two robots talk animatedly between themselves, he just couldn't go over there and initiate the fight. Telling himself rather vehemently it was because he didn't want to battle in the middle of the city streets, he jammed his hands back into his pockets and chose to glare at the bus stop post instead. At least, until he was aware he was being watched.
He looked back across the street and found that Dr. Light had turned his way, and was now staring his way. After a moment, although it was hard to tell from where he stood, Dr. Light seemed to smile. Bass rolled his eyes and walked off as the bus rolled up with a whoosh of air brakes.
Catching the doctor's redirected attention, Megaman turned around with a blink. "What is it, Dr. Light?"
"Oh, nothing Rock." Light chuckled faintly and turned back to smile at the pair. "Just thought I saw a friend of ours, that's all."
"Oh." Mega paused for a moment, then smiled brightly and turned back to his sister. "C'mon, I know where we can go next~!" As the two jogged off down the sidewalk Light glanced back, watching the bus roll away from the stop. He smiled slightly, and turned to follow the others.
