I've come to the realisation I do not like the way things change.

I know, it's hardly a great epiphany or anything. Still, there's not really anything to be done about it.

Luna?

I used to dislike change. I think the sooner you get used to it, the better, Weasley.

It's not that I dislike change for its own sake. It can be refreshing, when it tries. It's the nasty, dirty way it goes about doing it.

Oh well.

Do you think? I've found that change announces itself in a somewhat loudish manner before it creeps up on us.

You didn't receive any warnings?

Those loud changes are just to distract you from the nasty little ones, so you don't notice right away, and then you look back and realise you missed out on the whole process.

That's true enough. Still.

Things will always change, and you learn from them.

It doesn't mean one has to like it, though.

You think I like change?

Is it because of how they change or that you can't help them from changing?

It's the way they change. Change is devious and sneaky and gets into the cracks when you're not paying close enough attention.
