Just got back from the above film, it's made me at a complete loss for words to describe it adequately. Until it all sinks in, if you ask me "How was Return of the King? Was it good?", I'll just nod enthusiastically and say "Fuck, yeah, epic for the ages", or somesuch, then proceed to squeak with glee ( Read more... )

I was gonna go see it today, but then I realized "Wait, this is going to involve standing in a long line-up for hours to see something that will look exactly the same in a couple of weeks when all the hype has died down. I think I's gonna wait."

Its Awesomeness knows no bounds... About the only real moment of the film that I found sketchy was the whole "Watch Legolas dance like Jesus all around a Huge Mammoth!"

That's from the book, though, they had to put it in.

What got me was how Legolas delivered lots of his lines. He sounds like a soap opera poet. Other than that, fuck yeah, epic for the ages.
