Edensphere:

I've never heard about magical journals before or being "born" fully grown, but I guess that isn't so surprising, since right now I'm not sure if there's much of anything I ever have heard about before, and that's considered normal. I'm sorry I don't [ there's a long pause; ] seem to remember this place either, for those who might ( Read more... )

Welcome back, Seven-san. Most areas are still in need of assistance, repairs and rebuilding.

Thank you, Sir... ?

If that's the case, then I'll be glad to help out wherever more hands are most needed.

Crow.

Likely you would be most needed in rebuilding housing or helping on the farm.

Reply

Thank you, Crow. I can see about getting started in either of those areas tomorrow, then.

Yes! I have advice! Beware of the apples! They are not always just apples! I cannot say more. It is dangerous.

All apples?

Yes! Some are normal, but be cautious! Others are not! But Apple is safe. She is a very nice young woman.

And I am Youth! I was signing my name with sparkles, but people do not seem to like that. I do not know why.

How can you tell the normal ones from the abnormal ones?

Nice to "meet" you, Youth, and I'm sure I have no idea why people didn't seem to like you signing your name with sparkles.

This place is all kinds of strange like that. Welcome to Edensphere, Seven. Name's Jack.

Since you're new you probably don't know what you're good at, right? If you're strong we could always use another hand with construction.

Thanks, Jack.

You're right, I really don't. As far as answering your question goes, showing up and seeing what I can handle might be the best answer.

Sounds like a good strategy. There's always something to do, whatever you turn out to be good at.

Welcome to the Sphere, Seven. Gene here.

Words of wisdom, lets see. It seems that jobs and rebuilding efforts have been covered. The most I can tell you from there is that being adaptable is a good thing since things are constantly changing and changing in odd ways and people-watching (keeping track of the journals and what people do) is a good way to get acclimated.

Nice to 'meet' you, Gene.

Adaptability and people-watching, got you. Sounds like sound advice for pretty much any situation.

Likewise.

Heh, can't argue with that. Still, it does help to just make sure you're aware.

So, did any of the job postings catch your eye?

It does, so thanks for making sure I was presented with the information. Now it's up to me to put it into practical use.

After getting two recommendations to look at Medical more seriously, and one mention that I used to work there before, I'm starting to sense a possible match.

Like Jack said, if you're looking for work, we can always use extra hands to rebuild things.

Yeah, we're still recovering from a major fire. We've all banded together to help out.

Working together is the best thing you can do as a group to help make things feel better after a major disaster. Seeing your home come back together after being laid to waste has a certain triumphant feel to it.
