see, sometimes your brother is a pink haired woman, and he writes like this!seventhspringMarch 22 2011, 08:04:26 UTC
[ Handwriting she doesn't recognize, if they seem to recognize her. Or her name? After what Bell had just said... ]
Better than I did last night, though a shower and a good night's sleep tends to do that for a person. Who'm I writing with, if it's not too much to ask?
this be gospel truth, or as close to it as we comeseventhspringMarch 22 2011, 08:16:29 UTC
Nice to meet you, Jeep, and you're right about the latter point. If i were your anything, at the very least it'd be your sister. Sorry about that! Looks like I'm helping to confuse things, right from the start. Restart.
[ Bell said recently. She wonders how recent that really is. ]
[ It's easy enough to see why Jeep mentioned not having trouble telling their writing styles apart. ]
Were there some literal ones around?
Stealing my n-- ha, I don't think you can consider something like this stealing! After all, we tend to name ourselves after something significant to us from when we "wake up," don't we? "Seven" means something to you too. I'm more than happy to share a name like that with someone.
[If this were an in-person conversation he would tell her about them, but he hates writing, so he keeps responses short.
He next words give him pause. He picked the number because he disliked it, because he wanted something to prompt him to keep looking for his real name and not to get too comfortable here.]
I don't blame them. It's not like we always get to choose what's shared around here anyway. Holding on to what you can, when it's distinctly yours, makes sense.
I'm assuming they knew each other via being medics XDpompous_todayMarch 22 2011, 18:23:39 UTC
Seven, it is wonderful to see your writing again. Lezard is still Head Medic if you wish to speak with him.
There have been many returning faces lately. And as far as strange fruit, funnily enough, earlier this month there were odd fruits growing all over the tree that produced strange effects.
this sounds brilliant to me <3seventhspringMarch 23 2011, 05:29:15 UTC
Will, is that you? Yes, i need to get in touch with Lezard. Like I was writing to someone else, it's nice to know some things haven't changed.

How many of us have been showing up? Kind of amusing to know there actually were strange fruits recently. Go figure that the metaphor would have been less metaphoric than I expected.
It's Simon now, actually; I've recovered my real name since you left. And it's true; in a place like this, where you never know what to expect, having some things that remain the same helps make it a little more bearable.

No, the fruit's as strange as ever, as is the fruitbowl himself.
And I think Lezard is in charge at Medical.
Someone took your name while you were gone, by the way.

[ Aaand it's nice to recognize handwriting off the bat. ]
Glad to see you're still around.

[He was wondering if you'd remember him, since you seemed to remember this place.]
Good to see you're back. I'm sure Gai will want to play catch up, if you want to stop by our house whenever.

Gai?
[ Something familiar about that, but not in the immediate sense. ]
Where're you living right now?

[He's so concerned, now... but then he reads Bell's comment.]
I assume you're not my brother?

When did you and Seven find yourselves here?

You missed the strange fruit.
Sorry for stealing your name.

Glad we agree.

Seven?
This is Bastet, kiddo.

Bastet!
[ Can writing someone's name like a parrot carry any sign of relief? ... Probably not. ]
It's great to hear from you. Looks like I've been out for a while.

[And surprising that she remembers everything; she files that away.]
And I haven't heard of that happening to a dream. But I think most people tend to keep a lot of details to themselves.

[ That... isn't entirely surprising to hear. ]

Oh! Are you still running a clothing stall?

Of course. This IS Edensphere, after all.

That's one thing you can never really forget. Edensphere: where anything might happen, probably more often than you ever wanted it to.
