Death Eaters Unite!

He waited, standing tall and stoically even though his temper was rising. They were coming, but they all seemed to be taking their precious, glorious time. Nagini lifter her head from where she rested, coiled tightly about a dog that had wandered too close to her. She seemed pleased enough, though Voldemort's mood seemed to rub off uncomfortably ( Read more... )

Walden had felt his Mark burn, but was finishing his brandy. It was too fine of a label to drink quickly, and wouldn't last if he left it. The pain was growing more and more intense as he finished the last sip. He slammed the glass down, grabbing his arm. After the pain subsided for a small amount of time, he put on his overcoat and apparated to where the Dark Lord stood.

With a bow of his head, and a clear note that he was the first to arrive, he said, "My Lord, forgive my tardiness."

"Tardiness," Voldemort repeated, gnarled hand appearing with a wand clutched in on. "Tardy? When I called?"

Could they all truly be so lax as to think that he did not care when they came, but only that they did? His eyes narrowed as Nagini hissed. "And what precisely, Macnair, was more important than your sworn duty to me?"

"Please, my Lord. I was finishing up, and getting ready. I came as soon as possible!" he pleaded with the man, giving nervous glances to the large snake just a few metres away.

At least he had been the first...

"Finishing up?" Voldemort sneered a little, before dropping his hand down. No, Macnair was not a good example, not when no one else was here to see.

"I have it on good authority that Dumbledore and his...little fledgling group are trying to find the Vance sisters..." He said a bit moodily, "I think it is time they had something else to worry about."

Leon and Rabastan arrived in one piece, a bit to Leon's surprise (evident by his wide eyes, then pleased look that lit up his face.) But it only took a glance at Voldemort to clear that look off his face.

Where were the others? His uncle, Rab's brother...

Someone that could keep the Dark Lord from staring at the two school kids as if they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Rabastan looked about ready to be ill, he stared at the floor for the longest time until he kept his bearings. When he finally felt fine enough to talk, he grinned at Leon, "That was intense, I've never ha--"

He stopped short when he spotted the Dark Lord. The color drained from his face and he blinked a few times, in utter horror and amazement.

"Shaw..." Voldemort said curtly, moving closer to the pair with an intense, curious interest. If any of his followers could be over looked in tardiness or absence, it could have been those attending Hogwarts, but this...was unexpected.

"Lestrange, isn't it?" Clasping his hands behind his back, Voldemort moved closer to the pair, inspecting the younger boy a bit curiously. "Come to join ranks, have you?

Leon bit his lip for a moment, before pulling himself up taller. He didn't know what to think of everyone else's absence, but at least Voldemort wasn't lecturing them on tardiness.

Maybe it was a good idea that he brought Rab with him after all.

"I didn't think, sir...that you..." He bit his tongue when Voldemort gave him a dark look, as if he'd broken some cardinal rule by speaking out of turn.
