If you're interested in purchasing a painting from me, or commissioning a piece, here are a few general guidelines to make this easy and confusion-free:
- Decide what you want. If it's a piece of mine that has been painted yet and not sold, either leave a comment on my journal or send me an email at contact@nikarnoldi.com ... I get LJ comments faster than emails if it's shortly after I've posted the work, but it never hurts to send an email. The worst that could happen is that the piece is already sold.
- If you're commissioning a piece, I request that you send me an email with what you're interested in. If it's something specific, reference photos are helpful. If you'd like me to try to interpret your request, then use as many words as possible to describe what you want. If you just want to pay for a piece and see what I do with an abstract idea, that's perfectly fine with me.
- Next step is to put the payment down. If you're purchasing an already-painted piece, you've already got the go-ahead to put down all the money and I'll send the painting as soon as the check clears. If you're commissioning a piece, I require a $25 non-refundable deposit on the piece. This allows me to move forward and purchase supplies.
- If this is a commissioned piece, the next step for you is to be patient. Though I'm a very fast-paced and dilligent worker, it does take time to get a piece done. The average for an 18" by 24" piece is about a week's time, with results posted by my next blog update (unless of course this is a gift for somebody who may just so happen to stumble across my blog, which in that case you should let me know and I won't ruin the surprise). Regardless, I'll email you the day the painting is completed and photographed... which leads to the next step:
- Pay the rest in full. For the average 18" by 24" piece (which seems to be a standard size for me to work with), I request an extra $25 in shipping and handling. Once again, I'll mail off the piece once the check clears.
Payment options are via personal check, money order, or Paypal.
Checks are to be made out to Nik Arnoldi.
To send via Paypal, email the payment to countyfairproject@hotmail.com
In the meantime, enjoy!
