Working my way past the many lab coats I had made into my lab in one piece. Those incompetent imbeciles! Letting that strain of virus just out in our lab. I of course had a magical protection around me but a few weren't so lucky when the disease first broke out. Black pustuals and all. It was actually kind of interesting. The Senior Partners were fully prepared to have my head, quite literally, if our labs didn't quit messing around with those infectious disease. Whatever idiots managed to open the canisters that were being prepped to be sent to Cleveland for our relocation, were just that. Idiots ( ... )

Pull up a chair? In this office? Eh. I moved over to the one across from his desk and sat down in it. Well not before moving some book. Ew. Was that really Lord of the Rings? Ugh. I rolled my eyes and glanced back up at him, crossing one leg slowly over the other. Putting on quite the show, I might add.

"Knox .. you really need to pay more attention! Why are thehy taking me with you? They're taking all the capable, intelligent, department heads. And apparently the ones who they think can do the job. Which brings me to my next point. Since you're department seems to be neither capable, nor intelligent, how did you get a hold of the memo?"

I paused, glancing from him to the open file. Clearing my throat, I tapped on it with one finger and raised a brow. "Lunch time. Meaning hurry."

"I really don't remember seeing your name on that memo. I'm sure there was a mix up in Filing." I flashed him a super sweet grin and inwardly rolled my eyes.

She tried to explain to me of the capability of this office and that being the real reason for the relocate. Yes, because this law firm cared so much about capability.
