Moving
This weekend I moved. Not far, just from Basset District to Jenifer St. But it was definitely an Ordeal. Firstly, my dad reserved a U-Haul trailer. 2 weeks after he did so, they finally contacted him and said that you can only rent them for a maximum of 4 hours at a time in the month of August in Madison. I think if I combined the horror that is the Earth's oceans with my subconscious's ability to produce terrifying nightmares, I would become the greatest horror writer ever. Oh, wait.

Every *person* should...
I came across this list of "what every woman should have/know," and I wholeheartedly agree with almost all of it. The only thing I would change is to make it applicable for every person, not just every woman (with some changes, for example s/black lace bra/sexy underwear that you are willing to wear around someone you find attractive).

Summer summer summer's gonna turn into fall..
Well, I'm finally willing to accept that it is, in fact, August. Which means summer is slowly drawing to a close. *August* is the cruelest month
I really hate August. I'm not really a "summer" person. The first month of it is fine-- it's warm, there's sun after practically 6 months of winter, I get to wear skirts, there's lilacs in bloom, no more classes... but by the time August rolls around it pretty much sucks. Things are pretty good right now. I'm pretty content with my life; although there are a lot of things that need changing (finding a real job, &c.) and those things will be scary, the important things that are constant (friends, family, myself) I am happy with.

More "Movie thoughts with Erica!"
Last night I saw "Dark Knight" for the second time. It's still amazing. Still awesome. I was intending to see it in the IMAX theater, but it was sold out. It was in theaters for a week already, and it was sold out at least 20 minutes before it started. That's how awesome it is. Karaoke, anyone?
So while I was in Japan I rekindled a sometimes-love of mine: that's right, karaoke. My sister and I went... four times? A couple of places had more English-language songs than your average karaoke place in the states! And it was really neat that you could rent your own private room for it-- I kind of wish that you could do that here.
