I had marked these three fics to read a few days ago, but I'm still recovering from Never_Says_Die's Truth I'd Rather Lose Than To Have Never Lain Beside At All. Have you read it? Simply beautiful...

YES. That one is a kick in the gut.

I am *anxiously* awaiting her latest chapter of "How These Days Grow Long". She said she'd be updating this weekend and the wait is killllling me!

Oh God, I want to read that so badly!!!! But I'm always weary of WIPs... :( But I subscribed as soon as I saw it! Can't wait for it to be finished.

It's completely addictive. Just keeping the faith that there will be a conclusion!

I haven't read the second one but I SWEAR I've recced the first and third at some point under another user name. I still think Melfice's A Long, Hard Road is one of the best (if not THE best) fics in the fandom. Granted, it's not all that plotty or have any integral story progress but it's gorgeous as fuck and the language grips me every time. Plus I love the way Glenn and Daryl move subtly closer and closer to each other -- and then there's the whole big thing between them called Merle (and ajfhajhfhf SEASON THREE, MERLE! DARYL HAVING TO CHOOSE AT SOME POINT HOPEFULLY OH MY GOD YES!) and they're both so broken and strong and I just. Yeah. That story is amazing and I cannot praise it enough. *nods*

Oh, you may have included them in your rec post to Snick? I don't recall.

A Long, Hard Road is on my upcoming rec list -- oh yes, I have more, lots more, lol -- because it's certainly intriguing in the way it's written. I have issues with Glenn's characterization, though... I just don't believe he'd do what he does in this story (and I'm being vague here so as not to spoil anyone who inadvertently comes across this comment) but that thing that he does, the whole story hinges on it, and since I don't believe it, I just can't enjoy the story as much as I could. If that makes any sense whatsoever. LOL
