Good luck! I wish I was a more crafty person since they are so damn expensive. Are you making a corset for um...regular wear or for amtgaurd or both?
I am still debating about buying this corset (http://www.moresca.com/shopping/product_details.php?id=115) I feel so weird spending all that money on a corset when I would never shell out that much for a handbag or outfit even though I'm bound to get more use out of the latter items. Of course the reality is bodices are usually a speciality hand made item vs most clothes are made in a sweatshop in Asia and then grossly marked up for the western consumer.
I am sorry I once made snarky comments about the bodices you and jenn wore for amtgaurd, you guys looked so cute in them.
There are some great ways to make corsets by making a pattern out of ducttape. Then you just need the fabric, boning, etc etc...
We'll see how this goes. Corsets are well worth it in the end...esp if you can't amke them. :-) Once I figure it out, if you get me your dimensions perhaps I can make you one?
