Scent of Sam
Summary: Edward and Carlise Cullen visit Port Charles to help out General Hospital with an outbreak of H1N1.

Edward Cullen’s eyes were dark with bloodlust as he breathed in the second most tantalizing scent in the world aside from Bella. He held himself back, but just barely, gripping his ‘father’s’ arm in a manner which would have broken the other man’s arm if he too hadn’t been a vampire.
“What is it Edward?” Carlise looked at his son with alarm as he saw the hunger in his son’s normally compassionate eyes. He’d asked Edward to accompany him to Port Charles’ General Hospital to help with the H1N1 epidemic because, he of all of the Cullens, had the most restraint.
Edward shook his head, not wanting to disappoint the man he admired most in the world, but his eyes wandered back toward where he’d caught the ambrosial aroma and rested on the slight form of a young dark-haired woman.
She was standing with a muscular man dressed entirely in black and Edward was suddenly reminded of James. A low growl sounded from deep in his throat and he half-turned, intent upon protecting the source of the delicious smell. Carlise’s restraining hand held him back.
