Uh written for
charmwitch but it sucks ahahaha.
It was an average day in the Netherworld. The Overlord was yelling at his vassals, his vassals did nothing, and the citizens of the Netherworld lived out their daily lives as per their usual. Vyers was one of those citizens, and currently, he was flying around, minding his own business - not getting hit by his rival, the Overlord, who was definetely his rival and who obviously belived Vyers to be his equal in battle; and not bothering anyone.
It was then that he came across a peculiar sight. A woman... An angel maybe? Did angels normally have black wings? None that he knew of, but... In any case, she was talking to some small robed figure. It appeared that they were arguing, and Vyers, being the good sumeritan he was, didn't eavesdrop.
He needed to get closer if he was to eavesdrop correctly.
"Listen, because I'm through saying this over and over to you," the smaller figure spoke, in a commanding, yet... oddly familiar voice.
"But Master Hector...!" the woman cried, falling to her knees and reaching to the face of . "We can still do it! The Retribution isn't over! If I can still serve you, then--"
"Enough of this!" If Vyers had been surprised by the strong looking woman show such weakness to such a small figure, he was downright shocked now. Because as the figure spoke, his hood fell down, revealing...
"A Prinny!!"
Vyers' eyes widened. He could see what had been done here! That foul Prinny must have tricked that poor, black winged angel... And now he was trying to make her serve him, instead of the other way around! The fiend!
"I, the beautiful Dark Adonis, Vyers, will nooooot stand for this!!"
The Prinny and the angel would quickly find the wind blowing around them, and before they could even properly react, Vyers had delivered perhaps one of the hardest kicks he had ever given in his life to the Prinny, sending it flying. In a second flat it was just a little twinkle in the distance.
A shining smile, Vyers ran his hand through his hair and looked at the angel. The black wings were a nice touch, really, much nicer than you saw on the usual kind... Pulling a rose out of thin air, he held it out for her.
"Forgive me for not coming sooner, madoimaselle," he looked into her eyes, giving her a look that practically screamed beautiful and manly. At least, Vyers thought so. "Now, why don't I take you on a tour of this Netherworld and show you all around! I know it must be lonely here, for an angel like yourself..."
Unfortunately, to the angel, Vyers' look actually screamed "Pull out an axe that looks like its mother was a lightning bolt and swing it at me!" and Vyers, in turn, screamed, just nearly avoiding being beheaded.
"W-W-WHAAAAAT!? I-I just saved you!" cried Mid-Boss, clutching his chest like she'd just shot him, and the glare she was giving him was looking like it was reloading for another shot.
"How dare you do that to Master Hector!?" the woman cried, slamming the bottom of her axe down on the ground, sending light shockwaves from the point of impact as she did so. "He... Who are you?!"
And so Vyers explained to the best of his ability. The Netherworld, the Overlord, the demons, everything he could think of - and of course, he highlighted himself as many times as he could, despite each glare he got in return for it.
When he was done, it looked like the woman was going to explode, but a passing group of Prinnies - all of whom had met an unfortunate end at the angel's axe after discovering they were not her "Master Hector" - had calmed her a little, and made his story somewhat more plausible.
... Well, that, and he'd shaken off her low level ice attacks (well, low level for him, anyway) like they were little snowflakes. She was spunky.
"How could you do that to Master Hector... A pathetic demon like you... I'll have to find him..." the woman-angel was mumbling to herself now, looking even angrier than she had been before. Vyers was glad she wasn't looking at him, and it looked like he had been completely forgotten.
Sighing, Vyers bent down to pick up the rose - no sense in wasting it - when it was promptly snatched out of his grasp and taken. He looked up at the black winged woman, who had apparently remembered he was there, eyebrows raised.
"Madoimaselle...?" He straighed himself up and gave her a smile - albeit a somewhat sheepish one, he didn't want that axe coming back at him again, he liked having all of his hair intact thank you very much.
"Just what do you think you're doing?" The woman was scowling at him, and now she had gone and tucked the rose behind her ear. "I remember quite clearly that you offered to show me around this place. And besides, seeing as you seperated me from Master Hector, you are not going to be resting until I find him."
Vyers opened his mouth to protest, to tell her that "master" of hers was nothing but a perverted Prinny, that her poor, maiden's heart had been fooled, but he was silenced as she raised her odd blue weapon again.
"... Very well! I, the beautiful Dark Adonis, Vy-- wait, don't use that I'm going to help y-- GCK!"
"I said show me around!! When I want you to go on and on I'll tell you to do that instead!!"
Vyers sighed, biting his lower lip and making sure to keep any comments to himself. And five feet between himself and that axe.
"Well, demon? Move it!"
At least she wasn't calling him Mid-Boss.
END. ... BEGINNING?
They'd been walking through the hottest area of the Netherworld for a while now. He glanced behind him to ask a question, curious as to how the so called "Grim Angel" would be handling the heat.
To his surprise, she had taken the rose from her hair - he was sure she would have tossed it hours ago - and was just... looking at it, twirling it between her fingers, seemingly entranced by it. It was cute, almost.
He grinned and turned back to looking ahead before she could notice he'd seen her. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.
