Lol what makes you think the world's ending next year? It's true that it's the end of the 13th Mayan long count calender, but what they didn't say in the movie is that the 14th calender begins straight after. :P The current Mayan elder says that it's a western misinterpretation of their history. They never said the world would end, the long count calender represents positive spiritualism for them. Plus there are also dates mentioned in mayan calenders as far into the future as 4077 when translated to our gregarian calender. Nasa have also done a longitudinal study into the earth in relation to 2012, just as they did with the big y2k scare. Nothing bad is going to happen to the earth. The claims made in documentaries aren't based on actual science at all.

Sorry for that prolonged comment, but I had like 15 mins to burn inbetween lessons. So yeah, 2012 is nothing to worry about.
