I should add the binding is Wenge on the body and Maple on the neck. The fret board marker dots and the matching dots on the bridge are green Malachite surrounded by Maple as is the Four Leaf Clover on the head stock. The head stock has a Koa overlay. It is extremely light and well balanced between the body and neck. I designed the shape of the instrument and decided on the wood selection. I did not build it myself. But between the Luthier (builder) and myself. We exchanged quite a few ideas. The Luthier, plans to use this shape as part of a new series of instruments with the same basic design. Which can be as you see an Irish Bouzouki or standard Greek Tuning Bouzouki, as a 4 or 8 String Tenor Guitar, as an Octave Mandolin or Mandola. The larger guitar sized body can be built for 6 string guitar or 8 string Mandocello.
