BF Combat System Things I Have Noticed

Counter seems to be the best reaction in most circumstances, even if you fail the counter. Narrowly Countering (success?) gives me as much damage mitigation as succeeding a dodge or a brace (which seem to give about the same mitigation with a success with a little more damage taken on a failed dodge

Relevant sidenote, character used has reflex as a high stat with might as second highest stat. spamming dodge I was able to get four off, and brace only two. However this was out of many more attacks that ended up failing so there's a pretty good chance I'll fail a reaction on these either way. With failure being likely, it is safer to counter (until success), brace, then go back to counter (until success). Versus boss monsters this may be a bit different since they can spam you with high mana but i haven't actually won a boss fight yet so i'm not sure on any strat there (even with the boss cheer-ing me up at the start and generally going easy).
