Well it seems that today is one of 'those' days ... I finished making a corset for my friend who is an artist - she paints flowers and picked this fabric from my stash because of that .. it is really 'her' ... In exchange she is going to paint a picture of my shoes - well actually she has already done it...
Anyway ... I only had a metre of this fabric, and STUPID STUPID me! I did a toile, it fitted great ... so I made up the corset whilst experimenting with a new technique and now the damn thing is too small .. and I mean WAY too small ... too small to cover/hide/compensate .. I can't even take it apart and start again ... i MIGHT be able to rescue the front and back panels .. long shot though ..
So just as she's leaving, the post plopped through the letterbox, and it seems that one of the newly 'reactivated' speed cameras in Oxfordshire has zapped me speeding at a death defying 36mph.
My client has gone on holiday without letting me know information i've been asking for for weeks, and without confirming the next fitting date ... And the lady who is altering her vintage wedding dress around the corset I am making (who is living between France and London just to add to the jumble), detests the vintage dress with a passion .. she says the cut is rubbish, the style is worse, and the workmanship is 'amateur' at best ..
And now i cant even upload pics!
Oh lordy!
Roll on July.
