Story on how I knew this:
Yeah I was wandering my eyes over my info page thinking I should update it. It's been almost a year and a half since I have. and i see a little link at the bottom saying "more details" I click it and I find some stats on me and see I've made 199 posts (200 now including this). and was ammazed I've gotten on here and typed something up onto this 200 times. Posting for me is somewhat of an effort because I spend plenty of time afterwards editing it, and trying to see if it's confusing or not.

Now onto actual post/updates
As usual on Thursday I've realized I still have X amount of stuff to get done this weekend (and the Monday afterward) with barely enough time (8 hrs free)to do it all, excpet the actual trip that's included in that list. This list included promoting SWE activities, and everything you do before and durring a weekend trip with friends, errands, 2 quizes and studying for a test.
Promoting SWE activities:
Emailing Engineering teachers about a cookout, putting up fliers on campus for SWE activities, Oh inviting 200+ students to this cookout via facebook.
- When putting flyers up on campus you have to find a certain office in each and ask the head secratary if you could post flyers up in their bulletin boards, and I soon discovered thumbtacks are preferred not tape, so for each building I had to say I'm putting up x amount, and also if I could borrow x amount of thumbtacks. Reason for permission = the janitors lately have been instructed to take down any flyers not on a buletin board, and the "un approved" ones on the board.
- Now the reason I'm still rambling is The Russel union has the same system, but they have their hired people do the putting up of fliers. I gave them the flyers Thursday and they are still not up today, even after me asking yesterday "Why aren't my fliers up?". They responded pointing to a pile an inch thick of fliers, saying they have to get person x to approve them first, that person does the approvals in bulk all at once, and will be doing so in tonight (on Monday night), then they'll post them. Today, I was taking down the Bake Sale, ones (much faster process) and saw they still weren't up. So I want to grumble at them and these systems. Specially since they keep messing up the reservations we put on rooms in the union for our meetings. I could go on a little more, but I'll spare you a little reading.
- Next part to promoting: Facebook invites. This takes an hour or so now because you can't simply make a long list and press enter (last semester's system only let you invite within the school) now, you have to individually type the person's name in a special box to have facebook search, then show you everyone with that name registered, so you can choose the one you want. Do that about 300 times you'll be wanting the old system. Last semester, it was much faster, because I saved a long list of names in a file that I would copy and paste into the invite text box once. Then it shows the few discrepencies, you fix them, and you're done.
The weekend trip:
It was with friends to help out with this competition. The to do list to prepare for that included errands, dip many oreos and eddible foods in chocolate for snacking, pack, and finish the promoting stuff before leaving Fri night @9pm. the trip was busy and filled with the ramndomness of everyone going "Oh! we have to..." and following through. There wasn't much time to visit anyone in my area I didn't even get to go to my church, I spent 15 minutes at my house exchanging things like food for food, picking up books, I even forgot to hunt for my SWE shirt, and pick up last year's chem notes from home.
After the trip, I had to dip even more Oreos for a bake sale, make cookies, along with working on the marathon of invites again, and study for a test that I had this morn online @ 8 am.
The trip was fun-filled, in the car we watched some anime -a couple of friends here are "educating/corrupting" me. This is so I'm not completly clueless at AWA.
