I need armor for Nihaalan and I just realized that at this moment I can AFFORD to buy some! Suggestions for a templar? Chain's probably going to be the biggest suggestion but I just dont' know how to look girly in that. If chain, where do I get it from? I can accessorize girly later I suppose.

Yeah, chain for a basic foundation that you can add to later. There's really just one choice, IMO:

www.ringmesh.com

Pricey, but no more so than buying "real" maille, and it's far, FAR lighter than the real thing, and spiffier to boot. Not to mention you don't have to worry about the whole rust thing since it's stainless.

From there I might add some leather or plate shoulders -- keep meaning to do that for Ahnatar but never seem to get around to it.

i have a shirt of this and you can wear a bodice over it if it'll make you feel more girly... or under a dress even if you want.

I was thinking a waist cincher at the least, but I like lower cut stuff. Which I'll have to sacrifice since I won't ever be making that for myself lol

That's what I was seriously looking at. I just don't know how they fit, is the issue.

I'm not sure the benefit of making that for more armor points is worth buying something for less armor points.

well you could still get someone else to make it. Remind me to get my chain mail back from mickey .. or you go get it and you can try it and see what you can do with it

I just don't think armor is ever girly, unless it's that crazy boob armor. When I played Inga, I just wore very little under the armor, and that's the only way I managed to look "girly" (At least it looked like I was showing a lot of skin, because I wore skin-tight green stuff) Armor sucks for trying to look like a girl. :(

Inga looked very girly to me :) I am willing to sacrifice girly for elfy, but even that is hard.

At least you do have other characters with whom you can continue to play with girly costumes.

You could be like Tic and make pretty plate mail... The Plate is worth so much more armor points than chain.
