Five very long things make a post (although not a particularly good one...)

1. I spent most of yesterday beginning the massive, annual cleaning of the house in anticipation of the holidays. Let me just say from the start that this is one of those activities that, while resulting in a cleaner domicile, brings nothing else that is positive. I miss your posts! :-)

Sorry to hear about all your injuries and glad to hear about your costumes. THanks for the blog recs too. I do like the FIDM one already. :-)

Oh, and I feel the same way about house cleaning. We are relatively neat people, who try to clean up due to allergies and yet it still feels like we are living in filth. Oh well.

*hugs* to recovery soon on the knees. Just reading about the foot made me wince. Yikes.
You're the best blog writer evah! My gosh, we missed you but are glad you're choosing sewing over blogging.
Trust me, the ppl who are actual slobs never will think they are slovenly. I'm sure you guys are neat and tidy. I hear ya on the stash moratorium....
You always look so lovely in 30's/40's! Can't wait to see more of those separates. :)

Yowwie owwie, that's a nasty couple of accidents. I'm relieved to hear that your injuries are improving, albeit at what must feel like snails pace. Basing that on my own impatience!

As much as I love reading your posts, if you have to pick between sewing & blogging, I'm glad to hear you've been sewing. Separates rock, so I'm glad you've found that's what you'd rather wear ... saves so much time & effort for making things you love.

I doubt you're a couple of grotts, simply that things expand to fit the available space. Sometimes beyond the available space, so I get the new fabric regime.

ohhh, and I'm looking forward to hearing tales of boucle knit garments adorned with cheerful reindeer. Naturally I'm expecting them to have shiny red noses, but I shall fortify myself for disappointment.

I was so surprised to read that you braved the Louis heels after your accident! I don't think I could have come to the same conclusion, pain either way = wearing the heels.

Sorry that you've had so much pain this year, but happy to hear you've been sewing and good to hear from you!!
