As I was commenting to a friend earlier wrt Britain, inherited wealth (often unearned wealth) makes a huge difference to personal wealth, even the equity in a house (for example), which is why the Conservative Party want to dismantle inheritance tax as an unacknowledged way of protecting the upper and middle class (white) Conservative voters who possess the largest share of inherited wealth.
