Doc M

Jan 03, 2006 07:50

Yesterday was a day that was spun purely out of spontanaiety and whimsy. One of those genuinely good days. An "on" day. Kinda like when you're in the mood for something sweet yet not overly sugary and you bite into a perfect red apple; the entire day was filled with that feeling ( Read more... )

Aw, what a delightful entry.

Mathew MacFadyen is too damn ugly to be on the TV, let alone on film. Lookit his sunken cheeks! Excellent capsule review of this Pride v. Potter mashup!

For real, though! I swear if they ever re-do Wuthering Heights on the big screen and they cast a pizza face as Heathcliff, I will die a painful death.

Try a couple of drops of pickapepper sauce with a slab of cream cheese on a butter cracker. Studmuffin occasionally likes this whilst watching football.

I wouldn't even know where to get it! Is it...a condiment?

It is a condiment and tiger sauce is another.

Generally, they're either around the barbecue sauces/marinades type stuff.

Studmuffin also uses said sauce/s to make a citrus shrimp chipotle that is to die for. If you're interested, I can toss that recipe out for you. *g*

Does Pineapple cook? *g*

Tiger sauce! *jots note*

Please give me that citrus shrimp recipe. Pineapple rarely cooks, but that's only because I rarely ask him. But by god, he WILL cook this!

Doc M sounds like a great fun! It's really hard to find friends who genuinely "get you." Most of my friends respond with a condescending "Oooooh-kaaaaay" whenever I make jokes.

However, some of those friends are also the types who think nothing is funnier than "Blue Collar TV" so I guess that should comfort me.

Oh! So since I've been pregnant, I've allowed myself to deviate here and there from vegetarianism (I've caved and had chicken once, scrod once, and a bite of sausage), but thankfully the cravings aren't very frequent. However, on Sunday, I had a mad desire for salmon, so Hoover made me salmon cakes with asparagus! Maybe your appetite yesterday was channeling my baby:)

Scrod? Ok, first the pickapeppa sauce and now scrod -- should I take a food class?

That's so weird about the salmon! Yesterday may have been the day for channeling because Doc M and I were also talking about how awful Val Kilmer was as batman...and it was on when I came home last night on TBS.

If another day like that happens again, I swear to you I'm buying a powerball lottery ticket.

I think I meant to say that Doc M is either a great friend, or a lot of friend, not "a great fun." Lol.

Scrod is some crappy fish that Hoover picked up at the store. When I still ate meat and seafood, I really liked orange roughy and sole (especially when it was stuffed with crab meat!) but I'm fairly certain that was my first time eating scrod and it was nothing to write home about.

No, I love that phrase and I'm using it at the first opportunity. I'm going to tell someone at work tonight that they are a great fun.

And the channeling continues! Doc M was telling me the only fish she can eat on a regular basis now (thanks to the salmon glut-fest) is Orange Roughy and she was going to ask her mother to make her some when next she saw her. Duuuuuuuude. *buys lottery ticket*
