I've got one piece of news and one awesome story to write up, but those will have to wait as the first one isn't yet confirmed and the second one is still in progress. Good things come to those who wait, lambs. Until then, I'll just post the happenings of last night.

But first:

Rude LJ People. It's just something I've noticed more and more of ( Read more... )

Tip O'the Day for the discriminating masturbator: Goya brand Corn Oil.

What ever happened to using a cheap cut of beef? Tenderized it good for later eating. Yummm, good!

And I did not lunch on replying to your last reply to my post. I had an excuse! Haha, guess you gotta go look now.

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. *whispers* I heard melons are also used by cutting holes into them. Is that true? Gives new meaning to fruit cocktail!

But you DID reply to it, even if it's a week late! :D

I used to have me some melon until I was jilted by a casaba. Two-faced bitch of a melon, can't trust 'em. Left me melancholy, it did.

BTW, how long does this Sexion8-LJ code of ethics apply to replying to replies? At what level of nesting of replies to replies to replies can one honorly cease replying?

Please release me,
Let me go,
'Cause I
Don't want to
Comment
Anymore.

Yours in the end.

"but the one that really is just too presumptuous for words is: I GET SO MANY COMMENTS, I DON'T HAVE TIME."
!!! Seriously. Who in the world can simultaneously manage an LJ and not have time? The internets are for those people who have oodles of time and are slacking off work, etc, etc. I don't much mind if replies come a week later, and sometimes I do same, but part of the joy of LJ as opposed to blogger or something is the little conversational threads and tangents in the comments. Feedback is fun!

Feel free to now respond to this with a heart "Hee! ;o)" if you're busy!

That's exactly what I'm saying--people are online because they are SLACKING OFF. It's not like they're delicately negotiating important economical meetings between countries, they're playing friggin' Solitaire.

Also, HEE! ;o)

Now paranoia sets in that I didn't reply to your last comment... although I did reply to the ones before, honest guv! ;-)

I agree with what you're saying, mostly. Most of the time it's just good manners to reply, and most of my LJ friends are that way. Others aren't though, but I don't expect a reply to my comment all the time. If I keep commenting though, and don't even get a thanks for advice well... chances are you'll fall behind a filter one day.

So even if you leave a perfect stands on its own comment I should drag out the conversation with something and get the last word in?

Ultimately it depends on the comment, aside from what I've already written in the previous reply.

There are times when I'm not quite sure what to write, so I might just leave things be.

I'm not talking about a one-upmanship contest--I'm talking about acknowledging that someone took the time to reply to a journal. If it's a great comment, how about replying with just that? "Hey, that's a great comment!"

Honestly, it makes your friends feel worthwhile and takes two seconds. A blink of an eye compared to the 20 or so minutes the journaler took to bang out a story about how well they cleaned their kitchen.

And if someone wants to reply to your reply, it is ok to leave it at that, you know. It's common sense you don't drag out a "Hee!" comment with "LOL!" for ten pages.

Yeah, sometimes I don't reply to my LJ comments just because I'm lame. In honor of your story I'm using the Jabba Icon.

Shame on you! ;) Nah, you don't make a habit of doing that all the time. I'm talking about people who consistently do it. Like write 10 posts and ignore everyone's comments for...10 posts. HORRIBLE etiquette.

Slime and blubber. Yeah, both Jabba and Cravescock knows what's sexy, bless 'em.

I also think that 17/18 yr. olds are cute, but I wouldn't mess around with one. It's just like an eye candy thing.

In relationships I've always preferred older men...

I think we can all agree that teen boys are ADORABLE. But to openly date one when you're almost 30? And your entire circle of friends consist of them? That's just...gross.

Me, too. Older men are people you can learn from and of course they know what they're doing behind closed doors, eh!
