Joyce Carol Oates wrote a semi-biographic book about Marilyn Monroe called "Blonde", which I read about the first 5 or 600 pages of. It's rather whimsicle, the way she writes and very erotic. Halfway through the book, Monroe is having threesomes with Charlie Chaplin's son and some other wonderful fag. She also writes about menstruation with the sort of passion I'd only expect from Martha Stewart, or Eve Ensler.
