A few weeks ago, I filled out my naturalization paperwork. The N-400 form is ten pages long. A quarter of those pages are dedicated to asking if I am or have ever been a criminal, a prostitute, a drunkard, a bigamist, an illegal gambler, a traitor, an armed forces deserter, a Communist, a Nazi, and/or a terrorist. Damn, isn't there still a test prior to naturalization or did they do away with that requirement because so many immigrants applying can't speak english?

Oh, as far as I know, there's still a test (and an interview). If you can't speak English, you use a translator/interpreter. The questions are really dumb and useless (you can get some online at the immigration website), and have nothing to do with whether or not you're fit to be a citizen.
