so, now it's written into the state constitution that same-sex marriages and civil unions are not legal or recognized in the state of tennessee. this was voted into effect by the people of tennessee, something like 81% in support of the ban. davidson county (nashville) was the most sympathetic to the rights of homosexual couples; only 68% percent ( Read more... )

Yeah, tell me about it. It's a pretty depressing state of affairs, but at least there's some hope with Democrats in the house.
