I have to say that planning a natural child birth is much more difficult than actually having a natural child birth. I was hell-bent on having a natural child birth throughout my entire pregnancy. And then one week ago today, I was induced. I was in labor for 27 hours. After 13 1/2 hours of terrible pain and really, suffering, I had an epidural. And believe me, it was the best decision I have ever made

i dont consider getting an epidural being a failure at all, or having a c-section. but im going into it wanting a natural birth. i really think its uncool planning on having drugs when you dont even know what the labor is like

whatever you do, dont name your kid derek because it's a curse. if he doesnt grow up to be a large black football player, he'll be a failure in the eyes of society, borderline alcoholic, and a highschool dropout. another pointless comment: do NOT give birth standing up. my mother did it that way because its supposed to be easier. this may be true, but it was the most traumatizing show i have ever witnessed. good luck being a mom, i think you'll do a fine job because you're a nice person with a lot of warmth. i have one more thing to add... look into homeschool. dont force the kid to do it because they might very well want a social life but i think the greatest thing you can do for a kid is choose the way they want to learn. i'd ask them after about first grade. a long way away huh? maybe i'm getting ahead of myself. ok, i know i am. i'll shut up.
derek is beautiful name, and your a beautiful person no mattter what society standards are these days.
i really agree with you about school, and education. because everyone is so different. and education is so important the child should have the oppurtunity. my mom always left every decision open for my interpretation. and really think that in itself molded a large part of who i have become. and im really thakful of it. and i hope i can do the same thing for my child.
