I have a blocked duct. It keeps getting better, the worse. then repeat. I was called in an antibiotic yesterday. Today, I had the worst day of my life. Seriously. I was in THE WORST PAIN I have EVER been in. Giving birth (Medicated Birth, obviously) was seriously better than the pain I was in today

Oh, Angie..I'm SO sorry. Seriously..absesses are NOT that common and it's incredibly insane for me to see that you're having the same problem that I did! I *KNOW* that it hurts and I'm not using this as an excuse to get him to the breast, lol but..have you tried that route? A baby is WAY more effective than a pump and if it's just a clogged duct, he may be able to work it out for you. Point his chin towards it and keep him there as long as he'll tolerate it, if he takes to it. I still get them..oh, about once a month and all it takes is for me to fall asleep with Avery nursing and it's gone in the morning. Sometimes though, it just doesn't matter what you do..it just doesn't go away and it SUCKS

Seriously. I was reading about them and I'm like what the hell. They are REALLY not that common. and to know that YOU had one.. I'm like, WHY!!! lol

I wouldn't really trust Joe Shmoe in the ER to cut my boob open. LOL. I don't care if they're a doctor..My boobies feed my baby so I want someone who specializes in boobs and learned about them specifically in medical school, lol

lol. I wouldn't have let anyone cut me open. I would have went to GBMC where Doug works. He knows a lot of the surgeons and people there.

I actually feel a ton better since I was able to get some milk out. I might have been engorged from not being able to get the milk out earlier. I had the suction down really low because it hurt SO bad. but, turning the suction up and sucking it up seems to have helped.

Ive been taking ibephrophen to help. I took a leftover percocet (from delivery) earlier.. but it didn't help one bit!
