I was completely appalled when I got to this site (from crazygal's journal). Crystal, I adamantly warn you NOT to go here!!!

Thankfully, the site is a hoax. But that doesn't make it OK to maintain. So, there's a petition (also linked in crazygal's journal) for people to sign that are opposed to the site. I implore anyone with any heart or decency to sign this

That went around and around and around in emails and journals about a year ago. I believe it was settled on that it was a joke. It was in on like ABC News or something. I know, not much of a joke, but I believe they are not really doing that. So you can rest easy that kittens are not in jars, but there is someone with a bad sense of humor in the world.

Yeah, I edited the entry after you posted the comment, since my boyfriend had sent me to the page saying it wasn't real. :P But thanks for trying to make me feel better! I still don't find it at all amusing, though...

Yeah... My best friend found that site awhile ago, and she was compealtly outraged over it. [She has 4 cats herself] For the first couple of weeks we kept checking the petition, and I forworded it to alot of people until we found out that it wasn't exactly real... But what about the poor kittens that are on the site? That site should be removed, its so wrong.

the pics are made with a paintprogram of some sort, but still.. the site should be taken off the net. Just too sickening. At first sight, who believed it was a joke?

Are they really made with a program? That person's really good if that's so...they looked totally real, and I've always been able to tell edited pictures before.

And the site SHOULD be taken off the Net. I didn't think it was a joke, and it's horrible that people would promote doing such a thing for laughs...

I saw that page awhile back and it left me feeling... odd. O.o Bonzai cats? I think its making fun of the crazy crap people do in fads, albeit in a sick way. People shouldn't take it seriously, and should ignore it. The guys who created it just wanted attention, I suppose. I don't know what direction the sites gone in since I've been there of course, and its down so I can't look. People will do anything for attention sometimes.
