Title: Tim Hortons? (A Helping Henry fic)
Author: sexy_pengwin
Characters: Eunhyuk, Donghae, Henry
Rating: ... I guess PG
Genre: Humor
Summary: Eunhyuk has to help Donghae cheer Henry up. Again.

Ohmigawd. I was at Tim Hortons for the first time in a long time and came up with this. I guess I'm makin' a series of 'Henry's depressed and Donghae makes Eunhyuk help cheer him up' fics. They're so much fun to write! Especially sleepy/grouchy!Hyukkie and annoying/hyper!Hae.

Anyway, I had most of this written, like, last month. And only now got to finishing it (instead of working on the other ones like I've been trying to) So I hope vous aimez. (you like)

Ehem... Do you think I could count this as a challenge fic? It would fit for 09 Coffee Eunhyuk/Donghae. So do you think I can use it?

Damn. I should be working rather than writing this. Oh well.

-------

"Hyukkie.... Hyukkie...."

Eunhyuk turned away from the voice, pretending to still be asleep.

"Hyukkie... Wake up already!"

He refused to. He pulled the blanket over his head, hoping Donghae would just go away.

Donghae, of course, wouldn't have it. He was determined. A scary thought, really. When Donghae was determined, nothing would stand in his way. Nothing. He leaned down over his hyung, close to where his ear probably was, and smirked before...

"HYUKJAE~!!!!!"

Eunhyuk was so startled he... Well, he jumped up, hitting the younger in the nose.

"Ow... Hyukkie that hurt..." Donghae pouted, holding his nose. He pulled his hand away and tilted his head back, "Is it bleeding?"

Eunhyuk rubbed his face, "No.... And it serves you right. I was having a good dream."

Forgetting completely about his nose, Donghae was back to chipper and... now puppy-like. If he had a tail, it would be wagging. Really wagging. "Did it have me in it?"

The older hid a smirk, "Well, if it did it wouldn't be a good dream, now would it?"

"You're mean, Hyukkie."

Eunhyuk stretched his arms up and yawned, "Now what was so important you had to wake me up this early? Again."

"Henry's been locking himself in his room again."

Eunhyuk groaned. "Hae... Your whole St. Patrick's Day thing was not even a month ago! We still have Guinness! What could possibly be wrong now?"

"First of all, if Kangin actually liked Guinness, it would be all gone. But he doesn't. So I've been having to force-feed it to Wookie." He finished. Eunhyuk nodded slowly. That would probably explain the eternal magnae being so... tipsy so often nowadays... Then Donghae grinned, "And I found Henry's diary."

The older blinked, "Henry has a diary?"

The grin widened and he lowered himself over the side of the bed, only to come back up with a book. Not surprising it had a red maple leaf on the cover. "Yup! On the first page he says his mom gave it to him so would always remember home."

Eunhyuk, despite being tired, was quick to snatch the book away from his best friend, "Hae! It's not polite to read someone else's diary!"

Donghae pulled the puppy-eyes that were oh so effective on his hyung. "But... But..."

Eunhyuk rolled his eyes and handed back the book, "Fine. What's the problem with him, then?"

The younger opened the book and flipped to the last page with writing on it. Eunhyuk looked down on the thing, his eyebrows furrowing at the sight. "Hae... How do you read it? It's all in English. And a little Chinese."

Donghae looked up, "I can read Chinese fairly well, Hyukkie, remember? And the English.... Well, I've asked Kibum a few questions, but that's it."

"Then why is he upset again?"

Donghae shrugged. "I don't know. He writes something about a Tim Horton."

"Maybe this Tim Horton was his best friend in Canada."

He nodded, "I think so too. I was going to ask Kibum, but he's asleep."

Eunhyuk glared, "That's right. You let Kibum sleep, but you yell in my ear for me to wake up."

Donghae made the puppy-eyes again, "But Bummie has been really busy lately..."

Eunhyuk really didn't want to get into this again. "What does it say about Tim Horton?"

With an inward sigh of relief, Donghae read over the words. "Uh... Henry likes Tim Horton's... Iced caps. What's an Iced cap?"

"Uh..." Cap... Bottle cap? "A bottle cap made of ice?"

Donghae shook his head, "No. That doesn't sound right. Let's go find Bummie." He got up from the bed and was about to leave, when he turned around and grabbed his hyung's hand, yanking him off the mattress and out the door.

"Bummie!" Donghae yelled, bursting through the door. Eunhyuk covered his ears. Kibum groaned loudly before putting his pillow over his head.

Eunhyuk walked over and ripped the pillow off, "I don't think so. He woke me up, now it's your turn."

Donghae bounced over and jumped on the youngest. "Bummie! What's an 'iced cap'?"

Kibum lifted the arm he had thrown over his eyes and gave the cheery man a questioning look. "Excuse me?"

"An 'iced cap.' Henry knows what it is! I thought maybe you would too!"

Still confused, Kibum tried to push himself up. Figuring there was no point with Donghae on top of him, he gave up and sighed. "An 'iced cap'..." It sounded vaguely familiar. His friend back in L.A. who had come from farther north in the States had mentioned that before. "You mean... Tim Hortons?"

Donghae looked up at Eunhyuk with a huge smile, "Hyukkie! He knows Tim Horton as well! This guy must be really popular!"

Kibum laughed, "What? I don't know Tim Horton! Tim Horton died long before I was even born!"

Eunhyuk tilted his head to the side, "Then... How does Henry know him? He's younger than you."

Another laugh. "No, no, no. Tim Horton was a famous Canadian hockey player. There's a restaurant chain also called Tim Hortons."

Eunhyuk and Donghae both felt pretty stupid at this point. "Ooooh." Eunhyuk sat down beside Kibum, who was still unable to get up because of Donghae.

Kibum raised an eyebrow, "Why did you want to know?"

Eunhyuk glanced over at Donghae, "Hae stole Henry's diary, and--"

"Really? Can I see?" Kibum asked, curious.

"No!" Eunhyuk yelled, but Donghae had already handed it over.

Kibum opened it up to the last page and read it over. "Oh, I see... Henry's depressed again, isn't he?"

Donghae nodded. Eunhyuk face palmed. "And he wrote that he missed 'iced caps'. So we wanted to know what 'iced caps' were."

"Iced cappuccino."

Eunhyuk lifted his head, "Cappuccino?"

Donghae sighed, "Iced cappuccino, Hyukkie. Listen."

Eunhyuk rolled his eyes. "Isn't cappuccino supposed to be hot? With whipped cream and all that stuff?"

Kibum shrugged, "Yeah, but that's how Tim Hortons got so famous. My friend used to always tell me they needed Tim Hortons down in California. He was from New York, so there were plenty there, because it was near Canada."

"Okay!" Donghae leaped off the bed, grabbing Eunhyuk's hand again.

Kibum, glad the two were gone, went back to sleep.

Donghae pulled his friend back through the dorm to their room and took out Eunhyuk's laptop.

"Hae... What are you doing now?" Eunhyuk whined.

"We're going to make iced caps for Henry. He'll be sooo happy!" Donghae clapped. Eunhyuk had to hold him down as he began to bounce in excitement, lest the laptop fall and break. Donghae immediately went onto the internet. "Uh..." He waved for Eunhyuk to come over. "You look it up. I'm no good at it."

Eunhyuk sighed, taking the computer and looking up how to make a cappuccino. The iced part was rather simple, the initial cappuccino, however... Not so much.

Donghae's face twisted in confusion, "All of these just tell you to buy a machine..."

"Then we need to make it more specific. We have coffee, right?"

"I think so. Or... at least instant coffee."

And off Eunhyuk went. The first one was good. "Perfect..." He opened the page, then wrote down the instructions. "Alright, Hae... Let's go make those iced caps."

Donghae clapped again, "Yay!" And they left for the kitchen. (BTW, I was looking up how to make a cappuccino with coffee, and got one with instant coffee... And I'm just using that method...)

"1. Measure the amount of milk needed by filling the mug 3/4 of the way..." Eunhyuk read off.

Donghae quickly complied, pouring some milk from the bottle into a coffee mug. "Next?"

"2. Pour it into a pot and heat. Don't boil it." Eunhyuk read off before going to fetch a small pot for the milk. He put it on the counter for Donghae to pour the milk in and set it down on the stove, turning it on. He went back to the list, "Uh... In a separate mug, measure out the amount of instant coffee..."

Donghae put the powder into the mug. It was easy enough. "Next?"

Eunhyuk got up and checked the mug. "Hae... Is that one cup?"

"Yes... Is something wrong with it?"

"That's a lot. I don't think we're going to need to double it like it says." He looked up at his friend, "Is that why you're always so hyper?"

Donghae pouted, "You think I'm hyper because of coffee? Hyukkie... You should know it's not coffee. And I'm not always hyper!"

Eunhyuk smirked, "I beg to differ. Go read the next thing on the list while I put in the water."

Donghae nodded, going as though nothing had happened. Eunhyuk took the mug and poured in the water they had put in the kettle before even starting.

"HYUKKIEEE! NO!"

The older stopped and looked back, "Is something wrong, Hae?"

Donghae hit his head on the table. "You're not supposed to put any water in it yet..."

"Oh." He looked down at the mug. "Then what are we supposed to do--" He stopped when the mug had been snatched from him. "Hae?" He looked up to see the younger taking a sip. "Hae, do you really need coffee right now?"

Donghae smiled, "No! But I want to drink it anyway."

Eunhyuk face palmed, but decided to ignore it and got a new mug, putting in the instant coffee powder. "Alright, Hae. If we're not supposed to put water in yet, then what do we put in?"

Donghae put his mug down on the counter and went back to the list (he didn't even notice Eunhyuk emptying the mug in the sink. Donghae was already hyper, no need to make it worse) "Uh.... Sugar. We put in some sugar."

"How much sugar?"

Donghae took out the sugar from the cupboard and put two spoonfuls. Eunhyuk restrained from face palming for the third time that day. "Please tell me that's not how much you normally put in coffee."

No answer.

Eunhyuk didn't hold back this time. There was a thwack as his hand came in contact with his forehead. "Hae, we're going to have to have a talk about how you drink your coffee."

"Can we get back to the cappuccino right now?" Donghae filled a small cup (Was that one of Kangin's shot glasses?) with water and poured a little bit into the mix of sugar and instant coffee, then began to stir it. "Hyukkie, you go check on the milk. It can't boil."

"Aye aye, Captain... Oh..." Eunhyuk turned the element off, "A little late... It's bubbling."

Donghae sighed, "Aish, Hyukkie... Why don't you stir so I can make sure this is done right."

Eunhyuk opened his mouth to counter the younger, but... Nothing came to mind. Perfectionist Donghae was just too... weird. Instead he watched Donghae prepare some more milk with a dumbfounded look on his face.

Donghae poured some milk into the pot. Of course, with his luck, not nearly enough came out. He looked into the bottle, "Uh... Please tell me we have another bottle of milk."

"Oh... That's not good. That was our last bottle of milk. What do you expect after Ryeowook made that giant chocolate cake?"

"It tasted a little funny, actually..." Donghae said, scrunching up his nose at the thought.

Eunhyuk almost slapped his forehead for the nth time. Instead the slight frustration came out in his voice, "What do you expect when you're constantly getting him drunk? He's pretty much scared of you now!" He narrowed his eyes when he realized Donghae's head was in the fridge, "Are you even listening to me?"

"What was that, Hyukkie?" He stuck his head back in the fridge before the other dancer could answer (instead, Eunhyuk clenched his fists, eye twitching) "Ah! I found something we could use!"

Eunhyuk's eyes went wide as the younger pulled out the carton he had hidden at the back of the fridge, "No! Not my strawberry milk!" He lunged forward, grabbing for the carton. Donghae quickly pulled it away, glaring. Eunhyuk pouted, "Hae... There's only a little left... And they were all out at the store... Please..."

Donghae kept glaring, "Hyukkie. We need the milk. Think about it, you're helping a friend."

"Can I help a friend another way?"

"No."

He stomped his foot like a spoiled child denied what he wanted, "Hae! Come on! Since when do cappuccinos taste good with strawberry, huh?"

Donghae pushed past his hyung and poured whatever was left into the pot. "Just enough. Thank you Hyukkie~!" He smiled back. Eunhyuk narrowed his eyes at him. Donghae made sure not to let it boil, and only warm up.

"Hey Hae..." Eunhyuk said as his dongsaeng poured the milk into the cup. "Just wondering. It's supposed to be iced cappuccino. Why did we warm up the milk when we're just going make it cold again?"

Donghae stopped, looked down at the pink milk and then back at Eunhyuk. "I..." He chuckled, "I don't know why. We're not very smart, are we?" He quickly poured in the rest of the milk before Eunhyuk could also figure out that it didn't matter if the milk was boiled or not and get mad at him for using his last reserves of strawberry milk ibnstead of the normal milk. "Ah, Hyukkie! We're done!" He exclaimed, holding up the cup of cappuccino triumphantly. "Now to make it iced."

"HENLI~!"

Henry groaned. It was Donghae. Only one person was that excited this early in the morning. For God's sake... They were all tired. The magnae pushed himself up into a sitting position so he could rub the sleep out of his eyes, "Hyung... What do you want?"

"Open your eyes, Henli!"

Henry lowered his hands, raising an eyebrow at the ice cube tray in his lap with weird, pink-ish brown cubes in it. He looked up at a smiling Donghae and a tired, a little upset looking Eunhyuk. "What are these?"

Donghae's smile faded, "You mean you don't recognize them?"

Henry looked back down at the tray, confused. "Am I supposed to?"

Eunhyuk sighed, resting his (sore) forehead against Donghae's shoulder as the younger's lips turned down sadly. "We thought you would... They're Iced Capps. Iced cappuccino. The ones you missed from Canada. You wrote it in your diary!"

It was Henry's turn to face palm. "Wait..." He looked up quickly, "You read my diary?!"

Eunhyuk lifted his head, blinking blankly at Donghae. "I told you it was a bad idea."

The End (Or, well... We'll see.)
