most commonly you get 3-6" speakers in your dash. Those provide mid and high range. In the back you'll have 6"x9" speakers. Those provide the mid/low or full range of sound ( ... )

your reply seems to be the most lucid, but tis just that readign all this is like a sensory overload. Something overload. Too much at once.

Jerm is right in all aspects of what he told you but the best way to get the best base without painful vibrations is to put your woofers in 2 seperate boxes face oposite ways, and make sure they are not touching each other then enclose the 2 boxes in a sigal larger box with vavles 90 degrees from the way the speakers are facing ( ... )
