It's been one hell of a month in my life, and there was absolutely no desire or inspiration to open Photoshop for the past few weeks. Kinda terrifying if I'm being honest. But then I forced myself to try and make at least one measly icon on Wednesday, and before I knew it, I'd whipped up 7. The drought is officially over! REJOICE! I finished up 13

yay :D I'm glad you overcame your icon-draught! And wow, typing out all this and coding the post must've taken forever :o
As always, my faves + squeeing:
01 - I looooove the white brush/texture thingy. And the text,especially that the icon is b&w but that the text has a bit of colour!
06 - gorgeous monotone coloring and again, the text ♥
13 - the coloring of this is gorgeous, so yellow/orange/warm. Love that the text is white!
14 - the orange colour of their suits just pops awesomely here. The crop is great as well :)
20 - love the b&w and the white texture/border
Also: 7, 16, 31, 39 and 40 of the alts are afkslgks!

I was seriously afraid the desire to make icons would disappear for a few months. Fancifully Thankfully, that's not the case! (I've typed longer stuff before so this is nothing!)

01 - Wasn't sure about it when I made it, but the text is really growing on me.
06 - One of my faves, so I'm thrilled with your feedback!
13 - Secret: When I first added the yellow texturing to the background, it reminded me of pee. Shhh! :P
14 - It's awesome that people are noticing the brightness of the jumpsuits cuz it's something I was very excited about.
20 - One of my very low-key faves. Hooray!

D'awww, I love it! ALL THE MISFITS! Especially all the Misfits. ♥ But the whole batch is wonderful, Kim, I love how personal it feels and the thought you put into every single icon. And, you know, all the Misfits. ;)

I really love #1 (loled @ the text) and how he kind of disappears into the background/texture. Also #5, the icon has a beautiful colour composition and a wonderful soft feeling, but what really got me was your explanation for it. It's wonderful to have such a person in your life. ♥ #6 is one of my absolute faves in this batch, it looks pretty badass and I always love these kind of monochromatic icons from you. It also has wonderful lighting, crop and text, really, this icon is nearly perfect, scratch that, it is perfect.

Aww @ Little Women. I loved that movie (could definitely rewatch it some time soon) and I loved Christian Bale in it. LMAO! You went with more than Leverage babe! I love this! My Job From Hell made me go awe first- I love the lighting in this icon and that text is fun. The alts are great too, especially 41. I love that natural coloring with the light on the top of her. My Funtime Escape is perfect- I love that crop and honestly, a stiff drink is good for those days. 31 is awesome!

I feel like I've learned a lot about you (shy? you?) and I always like what I see. Great icons and great job on letting the icon floodgates open. You're fantastic!

Dude, that was not planned at all! My 100% Leverage idea just flew right out the window! My Job From Hell was the first thing I made, and the text was too easy. It's basically what I think every damn time I wake up and get dressed for work! :P

It amuses me when someone likes the icon I hate most, which is My Funtime Escape in this post. The coloring just bugs me even though I rather like the composition or crops. As long as someone else can get a kick out of it though, that's just fine with me!

Yes, I get shy around new people. It's way easier to be outgoing when I'm not face to face with people, like on LJ! Thank you so much for constantly encouraging and lifting me up these past few months. I can only hope to do the same for you, my dear. <3

You truly do. I remember "geeking" out on my hubby when I first started talking (with you, the new friends I made via LJSecrets, etc.) and doing better in my graphics.

My Funtime Escape is great- frankly, if it has booze in it, I like it. Not an alcoholic, but I do enjoy a good drink every once in a while. My Job From Hell, LOL! Honestly, I feel like a lot of people feel that way. I remember working at this jewelry company in Alhambra and every morning feeling this as I sat in my stuffy car on the freeway. GUH!

I only wish I had someone to discuss icons with IRL. I'd rather die than have anyone find out though! It would be so hard to explain that I make 100x100 boxes and throw weird things called textures on them so people on one site can look at them. It's really awesome that your hubby knows about your hobby. Does he ever watch you as you create icons, or give you his opinion on your work?

Hahaha! Booze in an icon equals WIN for both of us, apparently. Everyone has to go through a hellish nightmare of a job. If only I'd try to find another one then I'd have someone other than myself to blame for my predicament.
