It's been two whole months since I posted any icons so I'm quite overdue. I honestly hadn't even thought I'd make anything in April, but the latest round at inspired20in20 just captivated my mind and so did a peek at my old Megan Fox image folder! This month's theme was "Masquerade," and the idea was to obscure the subject in every icon through heavy texture use

We Megan fans are a teeny bunch so it made sense to dedicate this batch to you. I'm so delighted that you love lots of the pieces here! I must say that I'm totally floored and awestruck by the response that "claustrophobic" has gotten thus far. I worried that maybe the texture would be seen as too overwhelming cuz obviuosly, subtlety is never my strong suit when it comes to textures. I'm tremendously proud of how damn weird "behind" is so the fact that it jumped out at you is truly gratifying! Thank you SO MUCH for being such a beautiful friend and always such a caring supporter of this odd iconmaking hobby of mine. <3

it's my favorite album by them since so jealous and i think it's actually might be my favorite album by them; the hooks, the lyrics, the melodies, the production are all sooo good and far exceeded my expectations.

looooove "i was a fool", "now i'm all messed up", "shock to your system", "love they say", "i couldn't be your friend", "drove me wild", "guilty as charged", "goodbye, goodbye" and "i'm not your hero".

i also really love your use of gradients, which are one of my favorite graphical elements.

There isn't a single song on that album that I don't like! "Goodbye Goodbye" and "I Couldn't Be Your Friend" are faves of mine, along with "Closer." I'd never listened to them til I saw them open for the Black Keys, and now I wanna go check out their older material and see what I missed out on for so long!

OMG!! These are so fantastic, I love everything about these! Your texture use is so breathtaking<3 Angle is so amazing , I love the colorings and texture use. Stunning texture use and text of blink and I love the crop of hide and seek :) outstanding texture use of shadow and claustrophobic has beautiful colorings and texture use, also. I love also secret and overlap <3 Lovely text/font of whisper and spectrum has jaw-dropping texture use and the sharoening!!! Alts 11 is one of my favorite, too. And I really love also 20, 22, 32 <3 Beautiful job!

I was nervous cuz "angle" unintentionally looks a lot like an icon that I made for my last post in February so I didn't want people to think I was being lazy and had reused the PSD or something. So glad you like that piece! I'm really happy that I got to use a film poster for "hide and seek," and the crop worked out better than I expected! I didn't even sharpen anything in "spectrum," but upping the contrast with Curves and Screen layers naturally sharpened the image. I'm glad it's not too crisp on for you! The text in #11 took so freakin' long. Thank you for acknowledging that icon and for your brilliant comment. You have no idea how encouraging and helpful it is to get such specific feedback! <3
