Beautiful pictures of Paris, Jackie! I love the one of her in the tutu. This is clearly her life's passion, and she seems to do exceptionally well at it :-) 18 costume changes?! Whew! I'm sure there must be an art to that ;-)
I hope you're keeping cool! I hear it's been swelteringly hot in Australia! It's been frigidly cold in Montreal - it hasn't gotten above -25C all week, with daily windchill factors approaching -40C. The 'deep freeze' is supposed to come to an end on Monday, thank goodness. I hope you get some relief from your heat wave soon as well!
Hi *waves madly* so lovely to hear from you, I always think of you & especially in the Winter time:) OMG -25 degrees, the other day it was 47.9 here, can you imagine that? because I can't imagine -40C, I think I'd curl up & die.
Yes 18 costume changes was a "nightmare" we had 30 seconds between to ballet numbers, that was to change them & to change the flowers in their hair,,we nearly had a stroke lol.
Yes she loves her dancing, it all starts up again next week, where she will be dancing 6 days a week, 24hrs a week of classes, plus school & tumbling classes on a Sat. Phew it's tiring thinking of it all, plus we need to win the lottery to pay for it all :)
How are you going? what are you studying at the moment? When ever I see a TV programme about "rocks" I always think of you *grins* Take care dear E, all my love Jackie xx
47.9C??? I can't even fathom that kind of heat!! I think the hottest I've ever endured was about +38C, and that was in a desert in Nevada. The cold actually isn't that bad, as long as you dress for it. After -25C, one is not tempted to go out in anything less than a parka, long underwear, ski mittens and a woolen toque. What I don't like is how invasive the cold is, though. It creeps into our office and into my condo - I've been wearing a toque indoors for the past week. But I know hot can be awful as well - there's no escaping it!
As for studying, I'm in the last year of my doctorate now. I'm well into the thesis writing stage now, which is pretty stressful, but fortunately I still love my project and the research :-) It's going to be a long slog for the next year, but (*touch wood*) I'll hopefully come out of it with another degree!
I'm glad to hear that your Mum is doing better. I hope she continues to improve :-)
Yes all is well, my Mum is slowly recovering, the chemo & radiation really knocked her about, but she's slowly getting back to normal.
Glad you liked the pics & yes Miss Paris will be 11yrs old in July, & she's growing up way to fast, I can hardly keep up with it all. I will post more pics as she grows, we have lots & lots of dancing to get through this year, I hope I can keep awake for it all.
Btw I love your icon:) Did they get back together recently? was it a play? or just a catch up of old friends? They look very happy. I also heard there's an LA CON in June or July, is that right? will they all be there & is all the LJ fandom going lol,,Take care Dear K,,much love Jackie xx
