Just listened to the podcast. Their talk was pretty much all over the place and a little unorganized at the beginning. XD;
The Pinoko bash was pretty hilarious. XD But, they have pointed out a good number of things (like their talk about the last panel in each chapter), and yes, I'm happy to hear some Rock talk. X3

lmao! "Switch his brain out with another kid." Uh... plastic surgery. Brain surgery is too much work. =P

Buddha is always the most highly recommended manga! I need the money and shelf space for it. ;o;

I also managed it to listen to the podcast and I have to agree with you, that the beginning of it was kind of unorganized but at least it was interesting.

I'm not sure about the Pinoko bash, I mean I kind of like her her in the manga (even sometimes in the anime but only on rare occasions) and there are at least two funny Black Jack and Pinoco moments in Black Jack Vol. 10. Yes, she's annoying and quick tempered but with the time you learn how to block it out.

I was a bit surprised that they also talked about Rock but I enjoyed it since he's a cool character (but of course not as cool as Black Jack xDDD).

lmao! Well, I guess that this depends on the fee they are paying him because brain surgery is a lot more complicated then plastic surgery.

The Pinoko bash was amusing to me due to one of the hosts just being totally put off by her that it actually killed a lot of his enjoyment of the manga. XD It so fussy of the guy, but I can think of many other characters (even main characters) that are far more annoying than Pinoko. (This guy seems to flip flop with their decision on whether he likes the manga or not)
But the reason given by the other host as to her significants to Black Jack I totally agree with. (So thankful for the other two hosts as they seem to know what they're talking about and give a more balanced opinion)

Yes! The Rock talk was totally unexpected, but I'm happy to hear one of them has an interest in seeing his appearances. (He's cool in an evil way. X3)

If he did brain surgery there would be no time for Davy to escape and leave the country with his mother at the end of that chapter. XDDD

I find it kind of hard to believe how someone can be put off the manga just because of Pinoko's presence (ha ha, I'm just trying to imagine his reaction of what he would say about the anime series xD;).

I totally agree with this as well. I mean the 'Pinoko is so annoying' discussion has been done so often before in various forums, blogs etc. but I made the experience that a lots of people, who are new to the fandom always seems to start this topic over and over again.

Hm, I'm not a doctor so that I could actually say how long it takes for a person to recover from a brain surgery but I think that two months are quite a long time (I recall that Black Jack removed the bandages from the plastic face surgery two month later). xDDD

I didn't intended to criticize this neat podcast but some segments of it just baffled me a tiny bit. ^^;

Oh, I'm going to download that podcast later because I've watched the Astro Boy (2003, without the appearance of Black Jack) amine lately! Thank you very much for the link to that podcast!

Don't worry about criticizing it! If we didn't get criticism, how would we know to improve the podcast? Believe me, any commentary on the show, good or bad, is a reminder that somebody's listening, which makes it all worthwhile.
