Ok, my first proper earthquake!!!! We felt it really stongly here. It started off with a trembling and as that grew in intensity everyone in the lab started backing away from the benches. It will all be OK, try and put yourself at ease about things. :) I remember my first one.. was bigger and closer and we had TWO of them, I was shell-shocked for days.

Welcome indeed! This is probably the 3rd worst one I've ever felt living here, so the GOOD news is these don't happen often. :)

Welcome indeed. I didn't feel it down here in San Diego, but a few of my co-workers did. The funny thing is, even us locals kind of stop for a sec., when we first feel one, and try to assess the strength of it. Then we get on with our day when its over. I hope nothing got rattled loose at home.
