Well holy hell. I was totally shocked when I saw how much I gained this week. I mean, WHOA. Although, apparently when you start working out like a crazy woman (i.e. ME) it is sort of expected that you'll gain the first few weeks. Atleast this is what Oprah, my personal trainer, and my WW leaders are telling me.
I can't even tell you guys how GOOD I feel. I have been eating amazingly...I'm so proud of myself...I haven't been eating as much and I've been making wise choices when I do eat. And omg...about my workouts: I don't think I've ever had sore muscles in the MIDDLE of working out, usually I only felt the whole lactic acid build up afterward. Pete is working me to death, and I love it! I went in on Monday and he said, "Meredith I think you've been losing some weight," and I was like, "well the scale hasn't been showing it!"- he said the same thing on Wednesday as well... and honestly, I *KNOW* my body is changing and I'm way more content with that than seeing numbers on a scale right now...which is saying a lot because I'm definitely a scale addict! I look in the mirror at my abs and I know theyre a little bit tighter...I look at my arms and I can see some definition! and I FEEL even more muscles underneath my extra arm fat too! I had my hands on my lap today while working out and i felt my quadriceps and I was like "whoa! where did you guys come from?" lol... I've gone up in how much I can lift in the free weights, bench press, and machines. I also have way more endurance with the elliptical and treadmill. Actually, I think I just have more energy, period. The first week with Pete I'd go home and be completely, utterly sore for what felt like forever, which was okay, because it makes me feel good knowing that I was doing something. I remember I went back for my second session with him and I couldn't even do ONE sit up since I was so sore from before. Amazingly, I did 100 yesterday and 200 today for the first time! My goal is 300 per day and maybe even more after I achieve that goal.
I've also been drinking ~128oz. of water per day...which isn't that hard actually, and my skin looks amazing. I've been getting compliments when I go out in public, usually from people who wear makeup...commenting on the fact that I don't need to wear foundation or powder, which I never do. Oh yes, the sex life is also another little perk that has improved as of late...haha, the other night Jonathan was like, "Wow, you're definitely the cow girl tonight...riding it very well!" lmao...so cute.
Anyway, that is my weekly update. I can't believe I start school in a few weeks...The summer went by so quickly. Someone punch me (thru the internet or in person) if I don't keep up with this workout schedule; I really want to make it to the gym 6-7 days a week...but knowing me, when I become stressed and obsessed over school, I'll try to come up with reasons why I shouldnt be at the gym and how I should be at the library instead. BUT I REALLY CAN'T DO THAT ANYMORE. This is my ME time, and I enjoy it...I need to put myself first. I think me working at the gym as the cleaning girl will help motivate me, since, well, I have to be there anyway...so I might as well make it count.
