new phone

I am trying to decide on a new phone.

Blackberry bold
Blackberry storm
IPhone

I think I might be leaning towards the Iphone - but do any of you have experience synching it with Microsoft Office? I have to have my contacts/caledar/Outlook on it.

I don't have experience with the Iphone except to use my friends. I wasn't a fan and this is coming from someone who went crazy before it came out and was ready to buy out my verizon contract to get it. I think I am going to get the storm if it's not too expensive out of contract.

I played with the iphone at bestbuy a couple weeks ago and really didn't like it. Mainly the text messaging feature. My fingers didn't hit the correct letter once because of the tiny touchscreen keyboard.

I would vote blackberry storm as the bold hasn't gotten great reviews due to its screen size. OR the Google phone. Eric and B know someone with one and they both totally want one after playing around with it. I'm waiting until Alltel comes out with one. And if they don't, then I'll switch carriers when my contract is up to get one. Its all touch screeny plus it has a flip out QWERTY keyboard.

iPhone 3g is allegedly compatible w/ Microsoft Enterprise, using Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync to deliver email, calendar, and contacts. It has some glitches though. Browsing the iphone support site for Windows Enterprise, it seems that "iPhone 2.0 software users may notice that Exchange ActiveSync email may be fetched manually, but does not "push" automatically" and it also < a href="http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1693">may not sync properly once you set it up.

OTOH, it seems that Microsoft is rolling out their version of google docs in 2009, and that will work in Safari, which you'll have on the iPhone ( ... )

I have my iPhone synched up to Exchange, and everything updates and synchs wirelessly. It's pretty solid. It'll push, but that's not to say it might not get hung up and need a fetch every so often.

My only real annoyances with my iPhone are that it doesn't support Flash and can't shoot video. Also, you can't send pics via SMS with an iPhone.

iPhones are tight, but if I had to do a lot of heavy work business on mine, I'd look into other options. They're much better for personal, light use. I don't know anything about BBs. Boyfriend has the HTC Mogul PPC-6800 (Sprint) and it has kicked my iPhone's ass several times when it comes to things like GPS and basic reliability of coverage and connectivity. That could be an AT&T problem, though.

I had an iphone (all be it the first version) and exhanged it for a curve because I had major connectivity problems and it really just wasn't as good for work as the balckberry has been. My husband loves his iphone and would rather give up a limb than it, but he really only uses it for personal stuff. Also I found that the virtual keyboard needs finger contact not finger nail contact, so if you have longer nails (like any it can be an issue. He has much larger fingers than I do and it works great for him, but I was always having problems getting the right letters pushed.
