I'm so sorry for your loss. Heroin is a horrible now days. Even where I live. I see young kids on this stuff just throwing their life away. At least once a week a new victim is taking because of this drug. Like you said I don't think it was anything you done. Once this drug has you it has you for life. May he rest in peace and be watching down upon you!
