Ok, so the situation is this:  My sister secured her wireless internet, but she doesn't know what the password is.  I want to get my computer on the network, but we can't figure out the password.  Any suggestions?

Look up how to reset the thing to factory default, then set it up again. Barring that, unless you can look up the key on your sister's computer, she's just gonna have to remember what the password was.

This is good to remember, because I'm probably going to try and get myself a wireless router this weekend... after I actually get internet of my own. :-P

Yeah what Kyle said basically, either you need to reset (small button on back of router--push and hold for 10 seconds) the router back to factory or buy a new router if that doesn't work. If you manage to set it back to factory, you'll have to look up the id/password based on the brand of router.(generally it comes in the literature for the router but if you don't have that its pretty easy to look it up on the company website.) Also, you could try tossing it out the window...you know, to make yourself feel better.

On another note, Dave and I are going to the Megadeth in Buffalo next Tuesday at Town Ballroom. Are you anywhere near there? We were wondering if you wanted to catch a quick dinner or something with us before the show. :)

Throwing it out the window is always a fun idea. Thanks for the tips!

According to the maps, the place isn't too far from where I work. If you guys have time, I'd love to meet up with you. Do you know about when you were planning on getting out here?

We were thinking about getting up there about 5, and Dave wants to get in line for the show at about 6 so we apparently have an hour in between to hang with you if you are available :)

That sounds great. I get out of work at 4:30 or a little after, so it should work out well.
