i thought it would be cool to get a router, since my old hub blew up and i was sick of everyone using my computer for the internet.. yeah, well, it's been a pain in the ass.

suprisingly enough, i've got it working. there's just two MAJOR bugs to be worked out.

problem one: the network card (i bought today) for my old computer that was to be added

the crossover cable way was really fucking easy and even i could do it without help :) you should definately be able to do it.

But if she uses a crossover cable, she'll have to set up one computer with two network cards (one for the internet connection, one for sharing) and then have to configure that computer to be a server. Kinda tricky, plus it eats up system resources.
